Project Four
Pictures Of The Week

Date: February,21,2006
Purpose: To understand how to capture images in the night.

I took the following pictures in Central Park at night and in all honestly I don't think they came out to great with the exception of the one picture of the shadow off the lamppost and the bench.

I took several test shots with my Cannon A95 set in the P mode and evaluated the white balance for each shot before taking the picture but I am still not pleased with the outcome. For one thing the light emitting from the lampposts came out very bright and even with trying to adjust my white balance setting. I really didnŐt notice any difference. I even tried using flash in taking the pictures and they still didnŐt come out as I wanted to so I am hoping that you can advise on how to improve my picture taking capabilities in the dark.

The pictures were taken in Central Park and I used a tripod to stabilize my camera.
